About Me
I truly believe that the success in therapy comes when the person feels accepted and heard. Growth occurs when you feel safe and cared for. I utilize styles of therapy that match my softness and joy. I enjoy having genuine and direct conversations with clients but I realize that someone needs to feel understood before they are ready to listen to what I would tell them.
The journey that prepared me to counsel you has allowed me to walk alongside many unique people and their stories. I’ve worked as an addictions counselor and in various healthcare settings, supported both seniors and children in home and community care, and worked closely with neurodivergent clients as a disability support worker. I’ve also supported individuals navigating the legal system through mandated counseling, as well as those facing moments of deep crisis.

I use elements of multiple Talk Therapy modalities including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy (RT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

The areas I've studied have been focused on trauma and the effects trauma on the body. My working career has largely focused on helping people to understand why they do the things they don't want to do and to help them to discover how to change it. My therapy style guides people to understand what is beneath the surface of themselves and how they can change their behaviours, thinking, and core beliefs.

The Person I Am
I am a family orientated person. I find joy in being a good husband and a dependable father to my 3 kids. I love sports, hockey is my favorite to watch and kickboxing is my favorite to participate in.
